Jan Marini Glycolic Peels
Jan Marini Glycolic Peels stimulate the skin and help to reduce cell build up at the lower levels of the skin. A Jan Marini peel will help resurface the skin, giving way to dramatically, softer, smoother texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reducing scaring. The Jan Marini Alpha Hydroxy Acid ‘Glycolic Peel’ is derived from sugar cane and has the smallest molecular structure of the alpha hydroxyl acid family. Therefore these peels can penetrate into the skin much more effectively than standard peels.
Everyone can benefit from these treatments, from boosting your skin for a special occasion or pick-me-up to treating a specific type of problem skin. If anti-ageing, pigmentation or adult acne is a special concern, a course of six treatments is recommended as it will increase the effectiveness. Pigmentation problems do sometimes require further treatments; your specialist will discuss your specific needs with you.

Prior to your first Jan Marini skin peel, one of our team will place you on a home care programme. Using a starter kit twice a day for two weeks, the home care programme will help prepare your skin for the peel. This is very important as peels can not be performed without skin being prepared.
It is important that clients stop using the starter kit for 24 hours prior to their first treatment.
It is important that no jewellery be worn around the neck or ears on the day of your peel.
It is best to avoid sunbathing or the use of a sunbed during the week before or after the treatment.
Men should not wet shave on the day of the treatment.
If you are pregnant or suffering from any medical condition, please consult your GP before undergoing peels.
Please note: If you have been treated for acne during the past year and have been prescribed Accutane, please note that Accutane should be discontinued for approximately six months to one year before glycolic acid peels can be administered, and then only with your physician’s approval.
